Hanuman Jayanti 2020 falls on the 08th April 2020 this year. Hanuman Ji Hanuman Ji is a Hindu God who we also call Bajrangbali in Indian culture. He is the lord with abundant blessings, has immense power and is said to put end to all miseries. Lord Bajrangbalis’ other names are Sankatmochan, Pawanputra, and Maruti Nandan. He’s a son of the god of wind, Pawan. According to Hindu mythology, this God can fly and change his size, can lift mountains and can also keep the evils away.

Every year we celebrate Hanuman Jayanti to commemorate the good lord Hanuman on the Chaitra month. There are many tales that give us an overview of this mighty lord. He’s also known to be a true devotee of Lord Rama, from the tales of Ramayana. Moreover, many scriptures witness his mention like Mahabharata and Puranas.

Significance of Hanuman Jayanti

Fasting & Worship Procedure

You must be wondering how to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti. So, find the Vrat (fasting) and Puja Vidhi (worship rituals) below:

1.  In this fast, the Tatkalik Tithi (Ratrivyapini) is taken.
2.  On the night before the fast, sleep on the floor after remembering Ram-Sita and Hanuman.
3.  After waking up early, once again remember Ram-Sita and Hanuman.
4.  Take shower and get ready quite early in the morning.
5.  Now, take Sankalp for the Vrat with water in hand.
6.  After that, sit close to the east direction posited idol or picture of Lord Hanuman. Face toward east or north while sitting.
7.  Pray to the Lord Hanuman in the most polite possible way.
8.  Further, worship him following all the rituals of Shodashopachar (the 16 rites).
